Next, lets have little look at the brand itself. Dolce & Gabbana’s first collection appeared in 1985 at the Milan Fashion Week, as one of five new Italian fashion labels launching that year. It was Dolce & Gabbana’s fourth collection that really saw the brand take off, drawing inspiration from Domenico Dolce’s strong Italian roots and the collection was photographed in black and white pictures reflective of Italian cinema from the 1940’s. Dolce & Gabbana first launched into underwear in 1989, and menswear in 1992. Celebrities such as Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Whitney Houston, Beyonce, and also the Argentinian football superstar Lionel Messi have all helped to support the brand along with many other celebs over the years.
Dolce & Gabbana underwear eventually reached its iconic status in the 00's with their Dolce & Gabbana boxers, a style that is now synonymous with that decade.
