From their official launch back in 1985 to now being considered fashion royalty, Dolce & Gabbana have maintained one thing consistently, which is their Sicilian, Mediterranean roots. Bringing the heat of Italian passion to the traditions of tailoring has allowed the Dolce & Gabbana brand to flourish. Headed by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the company is now one of the biggest, most influential businesses in the world.
Global fashion house Dolce & Gabbana have created an innovative and diverse collection tailored around the inspiration of Sicilian Greek mythology. Key colours and themes have filtered down from the main line apparel collection and reinvented into high fashion but wearable underwear styles. Emphasising the union between creativity and exquisite tailoring, the Spring/Summer Dolce & Gabbana underwear collection brings a fantastical quality to a man’s every day wardrobe.
In exploring Sicily’s rich and unique culture you can see Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana have been inspired by rich colours of wine reds, crisp whites and regal blues with hints of exotic gold. Stretch silhouettes are enriched with powerful Polka dots, a key print for SS14, which has been directly lifted from the main line collection and transferred to contemporary and stylish boxer trunks and men’s briefs.
An impeccably crafted range of woven underwear is also available this season. Brought to us in the form of the ‘Shirt Print, Fine Stripe Boxer Shorts and Brando Briefs’. These featured prints have been inspired from shirts shown on the Spring/Summer catwalk and translated into modern day men’s underwear. Made from super soft cotton poplin, these boxers and briefs are styled with signature branded elasticated waistbands, button fly front closures and contrast piping.
Keeping consistent with previous collections Dolce & Gabbana have also created a range of sport inspired men’s underwear consisting of stretch cotton modal mix boxer trunks and briefs. These all feature beautifully appliquéd contrast side panels, the premium quality of construction we’ve come to expect from one of our favourite luxury brands.
