And the end product is a fantastic first capsule collection of fine bespoke men's underwear.
Drake & Hutch's Jermyn Street roots
From Jermyn Street to Manchester, with help from Egypt, America, Portugal and Italy, Drake & Hutch underwear is made with the same attention to detail that you would find on a bespoke suit. With a background spent at a well-known tailors on London's Jermyn Street, Drake & Hutch founder Pete McGuinness wanted to a create a British brand that brought the finest bespoke men's underwear to the marketplace. Two years in development, Drake & Hutch underwear came to the market in late 2015.
Creating the perfect fitting men's underwear
The process starts with creating the perfect "block" on which the underwear fit is designed. This fit is unique to Drake & Hutch, providing greater support to the wearer and preventing garment rise. The designs are created in the Manchester studio in England, in collaboration with Jermyn Street tailors. The finest materials are then sourced from artisan fabric mills, whether that is long staple cotton from Egypt or pima cotton from cotton growers in America, before being hand-stitched and packaging in either Portugal or Italy.
Drake & Hutch boxer trunks - the Kensington collection now in store
The first collection of Drake & Hutch boxer trunks is the Kensington collection, a small capsule collection inspired by the Kensington area of London. Whether it is the purple dog or the blue flying duck prints, we hope that you like the Kensington collection as much as we do.
